I work in digital content marketing, mostly as a web editor, blogger, brand journalist and occasional content strategist. My forte in this area is quality control – from many years working as a print sub-editor. I edit for accuracy, sense, punctuation and grammar, web-readability, structure, narrative flow, audience interest, legality and generally prepare content for publication.
I freelance for UK digital agencies, UK SMEs and international clients, working either from my office in Birmingham or occasionally on-site in London. For more info, see Services.
My background is in journalism. I’m a trained magazine journalist from the London College of Printing (now Communication). I have 30 years’ experience of working in print, 17 years online and I keep a blog for sub-editors.
I also work occasionally as a travel writer/photographer, with features published in the Independent on Sunday, Sunday Mirror, the Metro and on my travel blog.
In 2006, I completed a joint degree in Creative and Professional Writing and Pop Music.
I’m pretty active on social media – you can find me here:
