When: 11am – 5pm.
Where: Centre for Creative Collaboration, 16 Acton Street London Greater London WC1X 9NG (near Kings Cross).
Who: Up to eight freelance sub-editors.
What: A practical walk-through of online editing using a content management system as a framework for teaching SEO, tone, style, structure, length, linking, accessibility and user-friendliness. While the focus is on sub-editing, the nature of the work leads into some wider web editing skills, such as picture research and manipulation, and post-publishing work. Please note: This session is for beginners; a more advanced workshop may follow if you’d like to register your interest (email me at firstname.lastname@example.org).
Why: The aim of the course is to enable freelance creatives to increase their employment prospects and to foster an ongoing interest in learning digital skills.
What to bring: The slides will be available after the event so just bring pen and paper. The centre has wifi so you can bring a wifi-enabled laptop and follow along with practical work on the day or just log in before/after when we send you a CMS login.
